150 year old rhododendron at Blackbrook House

150 Year Old Rhododendron In The Grounds Of Blackbrook House

9th June 2014

Such is the history of Blackbrook House and its gardens, we are very fortunate to have a rhododendron bush in our grounds which is over 150 years old! Blackbrook House was built in 1782, and is a prime example of a Georgian Residence. Originally it was known as Blackbrook Place, and it was the centrepiece of the huge Blackbrook Estate.

Now Blackbrook House is a care home for elderly folk, and staff and residents alike really appreciate the legacy the first owner John Barton has left us to enjoy. Current owner Stephen Press renovated Blackbrook House to its former glory in 2012. You can find more about Blackbrook House's history here.

Are you looking for an excellent care home for an elderly person you know? If so, always feel free to get in touch with us to discuss your requirements on 01329 280 573.
