Garden Visitors At Blackbrook House Residential Care Home

4th January 2018

With three acres of landscaped gardens, Blackbrook House Residential Carehome gets plenty of visits from local wildlife attracted to the abundance of trees and shrubs.

Whatever the season, there are always plenty of birds to spot, whether it is from outside in the garden or from one of the lounges or bedrooms, all of which have a great view of our gardens and grounds. In the past we have even been visited by sparrowhawks, woodpeckers and owls.

It's not just birds that have made themselves at home in the Blackbrook House grounds we also see squirrels (who are always fascinating to watch!) and have designed our garden specifically to encourage a range of creatures including hedgehogs, bees and butterflies.

Many of our residents and day care visitors enjoy nature spotting and we will continue to encourage wildlife in the garden throughout the year.
