Blackbrook House offers mobile elderly people a relaxed lifestyle with plenty of opportunities to do the things they want to do! Making sure our residents are warm, comfortable and happy is our priority.
A typical day here might be something like this:
Once they are up, residents may choose to eat a cooked breakfast or something light - there is plenty to choose from! This could be taken in their bedroom or downstairs in the dining room - it is up to the individual.
Mid-morning coffee or tea can be enjoyed either in ones room or in one of our beautiful lounge areas that overlook the garden, where residents can enjoy a quiet chat.
Dinner is served by the chef at noon and consists of a delicious three course meal (starter, main course and pudding). The meals are varied and planned around the preferences of our residents.
During the afternoon, our residents may wish to take tea on the lawn if the weather is nice, or perhaps in their room or with guests who may have come to visit. Alternatively, it could be that tea is taken alongside an afternoon activity or trip out.
At 5pm, chef prepares a selection of sandwiches and cakes for high tea. This can be taken formally at the dining table or in a more relaxed fashion, perhaps while reading the paper or watching the news in one of our lounge areas.
At Blackbrook House we are flexible to the needs of each and every resident. We want you to feel comfortable and relaxed as you would in your own home and base our food, activities and trips around the individuals who are living with us.
