RESIDENTS' MEETING

Residents enjoyed their meeting in March and it was attended by most of the residents. One thing that was mentioned was that they wish to have a high tea again, but on Sunday afternoons instead of Wednesdays. It was quickly noted and served on March the 24th.

 

JIGGLY WRIGGLERS GROUP

The Jiggly Wrigglers have been at Blackbrook House mingling with the residents. Fun was had by young and old. The residents had fun watching and interacting with the children.

 

WELCOME ZOE

We would also like to welcome our new domestic assistant Zoe.

 

MONTHLY DIARY

Jenna will be completing a monthly diary to go along side each newsletter so all are aware of what is on the agenda.

 

MARVELLOUS MOCKTAILS

Bernice our Hydration Queen has sourced new mocktail recipes for all to try.

 

Mocktails will be served daily at tea time to all who would like one. Mocktail recipe samples, Pina Colada, Shirley Temple, Strawberry daiquiri, Italian Sunset, Cuddles on the Beach and Roy rogers (without Trigger).

 

Please keep your eyes pealed for the daily recipes that will be displayed daily on the Blackboard in the dining room.

 

Bernice has created a competition (Name the Mocktail) Please look out for the poster. Free for residents and small fee for staff and visitors which will be 

 

APRIL DIARY DATES

  • APRIL 8th at 2.15 pm Ann Burr will be here for Holy Communion In the main lounge.
  • APRIL 9th at 2pm Amy Baker will be here to sing for you in the Main lounge.
  • APRIL 19th Easter bonnet making with Jenna in the main lounge.
  • Residents meeting Tuesday 23rdApril at 2pm in the main lounge with Julie and Jenna.
  • Helen will be here every Wednesday for the knitting club, a chat and a cuppa.

 

Please keep your eyes on the board in the hall way for the weekly agenda.

 

Stephen will be taking residents out on Tuesday mornings in addition to Jenna. If you have anywhere in particular you would like to go just make Stephen or Jenna aware. 

 

BUILDING WORKS

I would also like to apologise for any noise or inconvenience caused by the building work. Please bear with us and please make Stephen or Julie aware if you have any concerns. 

 

WELL DONE TEAM

Congratulations and well done to Bob and Sophie for completing their NVQ2 Qualification.

 

Helen and Jenny are in the process of their NVQ2 and Paula is in the process of her NVQ3. Good luck to them all.

 

TREMENDOUS TULIPS

All the tulips are out in flower in the garden, if you go for a walk make sure you have a look at them. If you are unable to get out just ask the carer to take you out in the wheel chair.
