Boom! Blackbrook House Visit Explosion!

20th October 2014

Recently the residents at Blackbrook House decided to visit Explosion! in Gosport, Hampshire. This museum looks at naval warfare and is housed in a group of interesting 18th century armament buildings at Priddy's Hard.

Everyone enjoyed the visit which brought to life the area's rich naval history from the 18th century to the 2nd World War and right up to today, including Exocet missiles. We were shown around by a Falklands War Veteran who really brought the visit to life. The stunning views across to Whale Island and Portchester Castle were delightful and finished the trip off nicely.

One of the great things about Blackbrook House Residential Care Home is its location in Fareham, we are close to the coast, The New Forest and a wide array of tourist attractions so that we can get out and about regularly on trips which suit a broad spectrum of interests.  If you are looking for a care home for an elderly friend or family member, or for yourself please do get in touch. We are a bright, caring, friendly group who help older folk get the most out of life.  You can find out more about living at Blackbrook House here.
