A Blackbrook House bedroom

Transitioning to a Residential Care Home

18th September 2017

Moving to a carehome can be an unsettling time for both the elderly resident and their family which is why at Blackbrook House we do everything possible to minimise uncertainty and make the process less daunting for everyone involved. New residents are offered a planned, staggered entry in order to get used to the carehome setting and make the transition an enjoyable one.

At Blackbrook House, we realise choosing a carehome for yourself or a loved one is a huge decision and welcome potential residents along with family or friends not just to visit but to spend a few hours really getting to know the house, staff and what we have to offer here.

Blackbrook House also offer Day Care for half or whole days which can help you find out what living here is like. Day visitors have the opportunity to socialise with the residents, sample our home cooked meals and take part in any activities or trips.
