Smooth Transitions At Blackbrook House Residential Care Home

29th May 2018

When a new resident comes to live with us here at Blackbrook House we do everything we can to make their transition as smooth as possible.

Before an elderly resident has decided to come and live here they will already have had the opportunity to look around and with their friends and family to decide if Blackbrook House is the right place for them. When visiting you are welcome to spend several hours exploring the house and garden so you can really get a feel for the place.

Some of our new residents may also have visited Blackbrook House as a Day Care visitor. Blackbrook House Residential Care Home also offer day and half day care on a regular or ad hoc basis. This can be a good way to familiarise yourself with our setting and decide if residential care could be an option.

When it comes to moving in, in order to make the transition to residential care less daunting (for both the elderly resident and their family) we offer a planned, staggered entry so the new resident  can gradually adapt to their new lifestyle.

Find out more about starting a new, happy chapter of your life at Blackbrook House.
