Trip To See The Royal Marine Band

17th December 2013

During the past couple of weeks, the residents of Blackbrook house have taken part in many activities. One interesting trip was when 10 of our residents went to watch The Royal Marine Band. Music is integral to the military with marches and lively airs being key to ceremonial parades. The beat of a drum keeps all of the men ordered and in step, and can be a very emotive and patriotic experience for the audience.

Did you know that The Royal Marines Divisional Bands were formed at Chatham, Plymouth, Portsmouth and Deal as early as 1767?

Blackbrook House is a residential care home for elderly people, we are situated in Fareham, near Gosport in Hamsphire. We believe that moving into care should be a positive and enriching experience. Our home is welcoming and family friendly, our care is tailored to each individual person.
